📋 About This Mod

Relight Version 6. 0+ Can Now Edit and Save Changes to Lights From ELFX, LUX, Windows Shadows Ultimate, Vanilla Game Ect

Edit Lights In Real Time (Press F1) :

Attach Lights To Objects While Playing (Press F1) :

What about the Light Limit?

The Creation Engine that Skyrim is built on allows only 7 lights per surface; exceeding this causes flickering. Since RLight - Official Light Addon doubles lights compared to vanilla, we have provided some support for those not using Community Shader's Light Limit Fix (LLF).

One way we support non LLF users is through Light Merging, which combines nearby lights of the same type into one. This improves performance and reduces light saturation of overlapping lights. (Lights will not merge through walls or floors)

This is completely optional and can be turned ON/OFF using the in game menu.

Flicker Prevention Mode Fixes Non Shadow Light Flicker Bug :

DISCLAIMER: If using the optional flicker prevention mode, surfaces with more nearby lights may appear darker, as only the closest 7 lights are used. Very large surfaces (radius ≥ 1800) are excluded.

Shadow Light Limit:

Skyrim Engine has a max of 4 shadow lights per cell and if you go over this shadow lights will turn off and on unnaturally, if you want to add more we recommend Intellightent a lighting mod that specifically improves the shadow caster situation. Alternatively See Open Shaders A fork of Community Shaders with a Shadow Limit Fix Built In.

(Not Required)

Other Features:

Partial Mesh Name searching allows relight overhauls like the RELight - Official Light Addon  to work for all modded locations and objects out of the box. (Skyblivion, ect)

Automated removal of Bethesda’s fake glow effects. (Can turn off in the included Relight.ini file.)

Compatibility with other lighting mods like ELFX and Lux

(RE::Light as of version 6. 0+ can edit lights from all mods including the base game)

Community Shaders (CS) Lighting Support

(In game menu changes to reveal Inverse Squared Lighting settings if CS is installed)

Fully JSON-based configurable lighting framework.

Check Articles tab for more details and information on how to use this mod RE::Light.

Warning:

This mod outputs JSON files into your Overwrite folder when attaching new lights using the menu. Deleting your overwrite folder will delete all your new attached lights, so make sure to move the files from this mod somewhere safe before deleting your overwrite folder.
