📋 About This Mod

Overview

Reachmen Tribes Names is a NND-based mod that provides names for Reachmen, also known in Skyrim as Forsworn. It is an expansion to Tamrielic Names that adds an additional layer of lore details.

Similarly to Tamrielic Names  it draws information from Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages to be true to the lore.

Forsworn

In Skyrim all (most) Forsworns are Bretons. As such Tamrielic Names will give them traditional Breton names. Reachmen Tribes Names instead will give Forsworns names that are specific to their tribal culture.

The Reachmen, also known as the Reachfolk or Witchmen of High Rock, are a race of humans who are native to the Reach in southwestern Skyrim and the neighboring Western Reach in the east of High Rock. They are believed to be closely related to the Bretons and some Reachmen believe that their people originally came from High Rock. While Reachmen are distinct, they are also mixed with other races that make up Man, Mer, and even Daedra. Similarly to the Bretons, Aldmeri blood runs through their veins, which stems from the Direnni Hegemony's occupation of the Western Reach in the early First Era.

Forsworn Matriarchs

Reachmen Tribes Names also provides an add-on that will give appropriate names to Hagravens, who are closely related to Forsworn folks:

Hagravens are creatures of corruption and decay that appear as a horrific cross between an old crone and a bird. Usually they are extremely hostile to outsiders, but they retain the ability to communicate.

They can often be found in the company of Reachmen clans, who often revere hagravens as their Matriarchs and leaders.

P. S. These were fun mods to work on, as I had a chance to dive into the lore and explore rich TES universe.

Lore-friendly addition that enhances immersion for Skyrim players
Lightweight mod with no additional dependencies required

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge community trust (1,749 endorsements, 1.8M downloads) — this is a proven favorite
  • Simple concept, perfectly executed: no more generic 'Forsworn' labels, just tribal names
  • Works with any mod setup since it only changes names, not gameplay or visuals

⚠️ Cons

  • Only affects Forsworn names — if you're looking for deeper faction overhauls, this won't add quests or AI changes
  • Last updated in 2023, so it might not be tested with the latest Skyrim updates or mods that alter Forsworn
  • No detailed documentation on which names are used or how they're distributed — you just install and trust it
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who love lore-friendly immersion and want every NPC to feel like a real person, not a generic enemy. If you're tired of fighting 'Forsworn' and want to see names like 'Arannir' or 'Madanach's kin' instead, this is for you. Skip if you want gameplay changes or quest content — this is purely a naming tweak.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Install with a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 to keep your load order clean — it's a simple ESP, so just activate it.
  • If you use other mods that modify Forsworn (like faction overhauls), place this mod after them in your load order to ensure names apply.
  • No need to start a new game — this mod works on existing saves, but you'll only see new names for Forsworn you haven't encountered yet.
