📋 About This Mod
Mod Description
NPC will randomly smoke a pipe, what more need to be said?
Since always Pipe Smoking SE and in LE Pipe Smoking was a must have in my load order, even after I quit smoking (IRL).
I was wondering why player is only one to take a smoke and NPC won't, until Player make them by casting a spell. NOT IMMERSIVE!
And as there was no mod changing that i decided to do it by my own.
SPID will distribute a Longpipe to NPC according to their Fraction, Class and Race.
You can manually edit DIST.ini file to change the balance of smokers in the world.
Smokers will have an empty long pipe in inventory.
Smokers will also immersive random cough. (sounds effects will be added soon).
You can talk to NPC and make them to start or quit smoking (by giving them longpipe or taking it from them).
It won't work with skooma.
Inspired by Bathing in Skyrim, dialogue added to NPCs.
Additional file: PipeSmokingSE.esp converted to ESL with ESL flag, that mean it will no longer take slot in load order.
It still require Pipe Smoking SE files, just replace .esp
Requirements
PipeSmokingSE.esp (ESL)
Pipe Smoking SE
Smoking of Skooma
Performance
Minimal impact. Almost 0.
Mod use build in game system for NPC to say things, like Hello, etc. I was inspired by JobiWanUK mods: Oh Dear, Goodnight, Burps, Stomach Rumbles and Snores. These mods add some immersive sounds that NPC make in some conditions.
My mod is using same mechanism, but instead of play sounds, it cast a Smoking spell on NPC, so NPC will take a smoke.
It does use some, ultra simple scripts. But this are just one liners, to call Smoking effect on NPC.
Installation
Manually or with any mod manager. Doesn't really matter.
Remember to install Pipe Smoking SE and SPID.
Remember to lunch FNIS SE or Nemesis for animations to work.
Compatibility
This mod is created to be simple as it can be so there are no incompatibilities.

FAQ
Q: Cannabis version?
A: No. Sorry it's same author and it use same animations and scripts as Pipe Smoking, but with different names.
As compensation I recommend you to use PipeSmokingSE.esp from this mod to make it not take a load order slot (see above).
Q: Pipe Smoking SE require FNIS SE not Nemesis, will it work?
A: Nemesis is backward compatible! It means you can use Nemesis or FNIS. Just remember to lunch to
Random Pipe Smoking makes NPCs in Skyrim randomly smoke pipes using SPID distribution, with immersive coughs and dialogue to start or quit smoking. It requires Pipe Smoking SE and SPID, and offers an ESL-flagged plugin to save load order slots. Minimal performance impact.
