📋 About This Mod
There are plenty of other mods that add new entrances/exits to the Ragged Flagon, but none of them did it an a way that tickled my need for convivence and simplicity. Thus, I popped open the Creation Kit real quick to make my own dead-simple solution. No navmesh edits, no roombound edits, just new records.
Ragged Flagon Lazy Entrance and Exit is an esp flagged esl plugin that adds two porthole doors to the Ragged Flagon, one leading to the docks inside Riften near Elgrim's Elixers, and the other leading right below the deck of Honeyside, outside of Riften behind the stables.
All the load doors are marked as "minimal use", to prevent NPC's from using them during pathing (mainly to prevent any quest tomfoolery)
Despite my inherent laziness, I didn't want to make it TOO easy, so both doors do require a key, of which you can acquire inside the Flagon upon your first visit. To future-proof this method for compatibility, I placed multiple copies of the key inside the Ragged Flagon, and inside the Cistern, so if another mod messes with a key placement, there are others you can grab instead. Screenshots have been provided for some of the key locations. The keys are also marked as player owned so it wont count as stealing, even if you're not a member of the guild.
REQUIRMENTS
Only requires the base game, cell data from USSEP has been forwarded. Load order wise, just load the plugin high, so that water/lighting/audio mods can win cell data conflicts.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Lightweight and clean—ESL-flagged means it won't eat your plugin slots.
- No navmesh or roombound edits, so it's less likely to conflict with other mods touching the Ragged Flagon.
- Decent community traction with 67 endorsements and over 16k downloads.
⚠️ Cons
- Limited to just two doors—if you wanted a full overhaul of the Ragged Flagon, this isn't it.
- Last updated in September 2023, so it might not be compatible with the latest Skyrim updates or other mods.
- Potential conflicts with mods that alter the Ragged Flagon area or add new doors there.
For Skyrim players who are tired of the loading screen slog when entering or leaving the Ragged Flagon. If you're a Thieves Guild regular or just want quicker access to Riften, this is a handy QoL mod. Skip it if you're looking for a major overhaul or if you're on a version of Skyrim that's newer than the mod's last update.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's ESL-flagged, you can install it with any mod manager without worrying about your load order limit.
- If you're using other mods that modify the Ragged Flagon, place this mod after them in your load order to ensure the doors appear correctly.
- Check if your Skyrim version is compatible—this mod was last updated in 2023, so if you're on the latest patch, test it early.
