Practice Soul Gems - Special Edition

Practice Soul Gems is a mod that I made for personal use to make the grind of leveling up Enchanting less annoying. If you liked my Revenge of the Iron Daggers and Leather Bracers mod, this might be right up your alley.

This mod adds some crafting recipes that allow you to break down your higher-quality soul gems into "practice" soul gems at any forge. These gems create very weak items when you use them for enchanting, but you can collect a lot of them easily by breaking down your other gems. This lets you crank out a lot of weak items to max that Enchanting skill faster than ever before.

You will require the Arcane Blacksmith perk in order to break down soul gems at a forge, and they can be found under the MISC crafting category. Alternatively, there is a version of the download where no perk is required, for people who want to play pure mage characters and never touch Smithing.

Soul Gems can be broken down in the following way:

Lesser Soul Gem - 2 Practice Soul Gems

Lesser Soul Gem with Lesser Soul - 3 Practice Soul Gems

Common Soul Gem - 4 Practice Soul Gems

Common Soul Gem with Common Soul - 5 Practice Soul Gems

Greater Soul Gem - 6 Practice Soul Gems

Greater Soul Gem with Greater Soul - 7 Practice Soul Gems

Grand Soul Gem - 8 Practice Soul Gems

Grand Soul Gem with Grand Soul - 10 Practice Soul Gems

Black Soul Gem - 8 Practice Soul Gems

Black Soul Gem with Grand Soul - 10 Practice Soul Gems

Items in the screenshots come from Immersive Armors and Konahrik's Accouterments. I'd recommend both of them!

I wasn't going to bother putting this mod on the Nexus since it's so tiny and specific to my own annoyances with Skyrim.
