📋 About This Mod
WELCOME ALL!
First and foremost, I wanna thank everyone that helped me make this mod.
-
[]Daralima - For teaching me particle lighting and how to use them, testing, and screenshots.
- [
-
[]DuDuGu - For testing and giving feedback on what to change.
- [
- opusGlass - For his awesome draugr mod
A much needed change for the undead creatures and skull keys from dragon priest Otar's dungeon, adds light sources to them.
For ENB users. This mod utilizes the particle lights feature of ENB. Requires 0. 365 or newer.
Installation
"EnableComplexParticleLights" should be turned on in the Effects section and "EnableBigRange" in the section.
The FOMOD installer contains a patch for Cannibal Draugr on Solstheim and an option for weaker light than shown in the images
Since I only changed the meshes, any retexture mod should work fine.
!!! OVERWRITING THE MESHES WILL MAKE THIS MOD REDUNDANT AND YOU WILL NOT GET ANY LIGHT FROM THEM !!!

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 4,390 endorsements and 1.7M downloads show this mod is a go-to for ENB users.
- Lightweight and simple—just drop it in and get better lighting on undead without performance hits.
- Enhances atmosphere in dungeons, making undead encounters more immersive and creepy.
⚠️ Cons
- Only works if you have ENB installed—if you're not using ENB, this mod does nothing for you.
- Last updated in April 2021, so it might not be compatible with the latest Skyrim SE patches or ENB versions.
- Limited scope: only affects undead creatures and skull keys from Otar's dungeon, so it won't overhaul all lighting.
For Skyrim SE players who use ENB and want to add subtle, atmospheric lighting to undead enemies without overhauling the whole game. If you're not an ENB user, skip this—it's useless without it. Perfect for horror-focused playthroughs where undead encounters should feel more menacing.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure your ENB version is 0.365 or newer, or the particle lights won't show up.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to install this—it's just a replacer, so no complex setup.
- If you're not seeing the effect, double-check that ENB is active in-game (press Shift+Enter to open the ENB menu).
