📋 About This Mod
Adds realism to Ostim sex scenes through realistic body changes and lip sync.
OStim Standalone Immersive Sex
Faces that act, lips that match the moan, skin that flushes, bodies that respond.
OSED, improved and reborn.
What it does
OStim animations are excellent. What happens on the actors during them is usually a frozen expression, a mouth that ignores the audio, and a body that looks exactly the same at the end as it did at the start.
This plugin fixes all of that in one place. During an OStim scene it drives each actor's face, mouth, skin and body from what is actually happening — their excitement, the pace, the act, their role, their personality and their climax — then hands everything back cleanly when the scene ends.
It runs only during OStim activity. Outside a scene it does nothing. Men and Mer are fully supported — humans, elves, orcs and vampires. Beast races have limited support: Khajiit and Argonians take part, but their faces and skin are not built to the same shape, so expect less from the expressions and overlays on them. Creatures are skipped automatically. Works for the player and for NPCs, in two-person and group scenes, including NPC-only scenes with no player present.
Why a DLL and not scripts?
OSED was written in Papyrus, Skyrim's scripting language. The design was good; the language it had to run in was the problem. Papyrus gets a thin slice of one shared virtual machine, it cannot reach most of the engine, and it always loses a race against the animation system.
Rewriting it in C++ as an SKSE plugin is not a cosmetic change. Several features that were in OSED on paper had no visible effect in game, and they work now:
-
[]Toe curl. The script pushed bone rotations of under two degrees, which the animation overwrote on the very next frame, so nothing was ever visible. A DLL writes to the bones after the animation has posed the skeleton, so nothing can overwrite it. The default curl is now 35 degrees, and you can see it.[/]
[]Lip-sync. The script tried to pre-bake FaceFX lip files and replay its own clips through dialogue topics, and the engine truncated the generated filenames, so no clip ever played. A DLL can look at the audio the game is actually playing — which moan, and how far into it — and move the mouth to that.[/]
[]The strong expressions. OSED's most expressive face writer addressed the eye and brow channels by the wrong internal ids, so those writes were silently discarded. In C++ you can see the data you are writing and verify it lands. That whole layer is now the default.[/]
And the rest of it simply runs better:
-
[]Every frame instead of every three seconds. The script grammar ticked on a 3-second timer and fought OStim's own face updater in between. Expressions are now computed on a beat and then smoothly interpolated every single frame, per actor.[/]
[]No ESP, and no scripts in your save. This mod never creates a script instance, so there is nothing to orphan, no script lag from it, and no "clean save" ritual if you remove it. It does keep a little state — see What it stores below, which is short and honest about it.[/]
[]Work moved off the main thread. Several hundred moan files are decoded on a background thread while the game loads. Papyrus has no threads at all.[/]
[]It reads OStim's data directly. Thousands of scene definitions are indexed in under a second at startup, instead of asking OStim about the current scene over and over during play. That is also why NPC-only scenes are handled now — the script version had to ignore them.[/]
The honest trade. A Papyrus error writes a line to a log and the game carries on. A C++ mistake takes the game down with it. A DLL has to be far more careful because it has far fewer guardrails — so if you do hit a crash, please post the crash log and I will fix it.
Features
1. Faces that act
[]A living expression engine, not a lookup table. Mood and timing are driven by OStim excitement, scene pace, act type, position and role, personality and climax.[/]
[]Three modes. Assist and Enhanced layer on top of OStim's own expressions. Director takes the face over completely and computes it every frame (recommended).[/]
[*]The pre-animation state. OStim drops into a standing state at scene start, before any animation plays. That dead air is filled with building anticipation — breath, eye contact, mutual gaze, a swallow — scaled to how aroused the actor alre
