📋 About This Mod
Small patches to integrate various lovely armor mods into Open World Loot's leveled list framework. I created these for my personal use and figured others may find them useful as well. I may add more in the future.
By gearshout:
Mercenary Light Armor - Appears in hide armor leveled lists. Both regular and protected variants.
Black Bear Ancient Nord Armor - Appears in nordic armor leveled lists. Only the regular variant is distributed (not the light or berserker variants).
Nord Vagabond Armor - Appears in leather armor leveled lists. Small chance for the mask to appear.
Nord Raven Battle Armor - Appears in scaled armor leveled lists.
Nord Tribal Armor - Made for the armored version! Appears in leather armor leveled lists. All color variants.
By Darenii:
Nordic Carved Light Armor - Appears in nordic armor leveled lists.
Nordic Leather Armor - Stats changed to be a bit heavier and more protective than leather. Appears in leather armor leveled lists. (Because three different nordic armor alternatives felt like too many.)
Dwarven Lite Armor - Appears in... Dwarven armor leveled lists, if you can believe.
By Sandaron:
Eastern Dwemer Armor - Also appears in Dwarven armor leveled lists.
By 4thUnknown:
Dwemer Armor SE - You guessed it, Dwarven armor leveled lists. Made for the ESL version. I recommend also getting Xtudo's patches and fixes.
For these to work as intended, you must use a patch to merge your leveled lists (if you don't know what that means, read OWL article here).
It's also recommended to use Open World Loot - Incompatibilities Begone.
This mod integrates armor mods by gearshout, Darenii, Sandaron, and 4thUnknown into Open World Loot's leveled list system, ensuring their items appear naturally in loot and enemy inventories. With 405 endorsements and 3.4M downloads, it's a popular compatibility patch for Skyrim players using OWL.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust (405 endorsements, 3.4M downloads) — this patch is battle-tested.
- Makes your modded armor actually show up in loot instead of only crafting.
- Covers multiple popular armor mod authors in one patch — saves you hunting for individual patches.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated December 2022 — may not cover newer versions of the armor mods or OWL updates.
- Requires you to install each armor mod separately, which can be a hassle if you only want one.
- No detailed patch notes or compatibility list in the description — you'll need to check the mod page for specifics.
For Skyrim players who use Open World Loot and want armor mods from gearshout, Darenii, Sandaron, or 4thUnknown to appear in world loot. Skip if you don't use OWL or those specific armor mods.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have Open World Loot and the individual armor mods installed before adding this patch.
- Load this patch after OWL and the armor mods in your mod manager to ensure proper overwrite order.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to handle the file placement and load order automatically.
