📋 About This Mod
Beta version
This mod came before the start of my LewdLoreRim playthrough. What else can a true degenerate do but spend days chasing immersion of the highest taste?
Features
-
[]Dynamic infection and recovery system after OStim scenes
[
]Customizable disease and actor parameters via MCM and JSON[]Flexible Traits system for race, faction, etc. modifiers and conditional disease behavior
[]Support for transient and combat-based spells (optional tags in JSON)
[]Mod events for tracking actors, diseases and other elements
[]Export/Import/Rebuild functions for all mod data
[]Optional Vanilla, STDs and Example Spells addons included for ready-to-play sets
Gameplay
-
[]Actors are "registered" when they first appear at the end of an OStim scene.
[]No other events are monitored.
[]Scene type or position does not matter.
[]Actors may have predefined parameters in JSON; otherwise:
Traits may also define "initial"-tagged rules to be applied on registration; if none => Each one is randomly assigned diseases and configured.[]Diseases spread probabilistically, based on actor, disease, and global traits after each scene.
[]At configurable recovery intervals, actors may recover naturally or be untracked if dead.
[]If an actor already carries a disease recognized by this mod (for example, vampires), that disease can spread through this system.
[]The Traits system influences infection, recovery, and transmission - allowing certain races, factions, or conditions to modify these behaviors dynamically.
[]Diseases can include tags defining their behavior:
[]"combat" - marks combat-related spells that use a direct hit effect, DoCombatSpellApply(), for transmission and usually fade after application.
[]"oneshot" - marks temporary effects that do not keep the actor registered after the scene.
chance = global rate × disease transmission × infectiousness × (1 - resistance)
[
]Recovery intervals occur in game time and accumulate during waiting, sleeping, or travelling:chance = global recovery × disease recovery × actor recovery
MCM Configuration
There are about four pages of options with more than half the work went into them
-
[]Actors are "registered" when they first appear at the end of an OStim scene.
OopsDisease is a modular framework for Skyrim that simulates disease spread after OStim events, with disease and actor stats, recovery logic, and full MCM/JSON configuration. It's for players who want deeper consequence systems in their adult gameplay mods, offering customization and tracking.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tight integration with OStim for immersive consequences.
- Modular design means you can tweak it to fit your playthrough.
- Solid community backing with 50 endorsements and nearly 19k downloads.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires OStim to function, so it's useless if you don't run that mod.
- Niche appeal—only relevant if you're into adult gameplay mods.
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter disease or actor stats.
For Skyrim players who use OStim and want a deeper, more realistic consequence system for their characters' actions. If you're into roleplaying with diseases and recovery, this adds a layer of depth. Skip it if you don't use OStim or prefer lighter gameplay mods.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure OStim is installed and up to date before adding OopsDisease.
- Use the MCM to adjust disease rates to your liking—start with default settings to see how it feels.
- Check the JSON files if you want to fine-tune specific disease behaviors beyond what the MCM offers.
