✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- No more hunting for salt piles just to cook basic meat—huge QoL win for survival playthroughs
- Community-trusted with 469 endorsements and over 12k downloads, so it's been tested by plenty of players
- Covers all the important recipes, including DLC ones, so you're not left with gaps
⚠️ Cons
- Salt-free meals are less effective than their salted counterparts, so you're trading convenience for weaker buffs
- Requires USSEP, so if you don't have that patch installed, you'll need to grab it first
- Last updated in 2016, so it might have compatibility issues with newer mods that alter cooking recipes
For Skyrim SE players who are tired of salt being a bottleneck in survival or roleplay playthroughs. If you're a completionist chef who wants to cook everything without grinding for salt, this is a must-have. Skip if you want cooking to stay challenging or if you don't use USSEP.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure USSEP is installed and loaded before this mod, since it's a hard requirement.
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, just drop the ESP into your load order—no special setup needed.
- The salt-back recipe lets you convert your bland meals into vanilla ones later, so don't worry about losing out on effects permanently.
