📋 About This Mod

Ok this is a real old mod i've created/edited originaly for a different (never released) mod for Skyrim Vanilla, but it works nice also in Skyrim SE.

It modifies some collision variables to make the character no more "blend out" or "fade out" if you get too close to your own character in 3th person view (zoomed too close).

I've never released it (even it was created at 09-2013) and i lost the source, however - i forget, but it works fine for me in Skyrim SE. If you like try it at your own risk.

The latest Version 2 is working pretty well with SSE (btw. thanks to Spawnkiller for the F44/F43 convert and the code cleaning).

have fun, triplex2011

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge community trust (7,390 endorsements, 1.9M downloads) — this is a proven fix.
  • Does exactly what it says: no more annoying fade-out when the camera hugs your character.
  • Lightweight and focused — no bloat, just the one tweak you want.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2018 — may not work with the latest game version without patches.
  • Only affects third-person view; first-person players get nothing from this.
🎯 Is This For You?
For players who hate the auto-fade in third-person and want a clean, unobstructed view of their character. Perfect for immersion-focused playthroughs or screenshot enthusiasts. Skip if you play mostly in first-person or don't mind the fade.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • If you're using a mod manager, install this like any other mod — it's a simple file drop.
  • Since it's from 2018, test it in-game after installing; if it doesn't work, check for a newer alternative.
  • Combine with other immersion mods for a consistent experience, but be aware of potential conflicts with camera overhaul mods.
