More Shields

This mod adds - and optionally distributes via SkyPatcher - a set of 34 different or exotic light and heavy shields (plus some textured variants).

Technically, this is a porting from DAZ to Skyrim of some different shield models by some different authors (check the Credits sections).

Distribution in game is done via SkyPatcher, randomised through levelled lists in the mod plugin. The shields will be added to merchants around Skyrim and will be randomly distributed to bandits and draugrs. If you wish some other kind of distribution, let's talk about it in the comments.

What I have done is:

• []porting of the Genesis models from DAZ to Skyrim SE/AE

  []conversion and retouching of the textures - also converted some alternate textures for a bunch of these

  []made them both heavy and light armor

  []crafting and tempering recipes

  []plugin marked as Light

  []SkyPatcher ini files

  Credits for the original models go to the aforementioned authors. I've got all the required licenses (both the standard and interactive). As such, you cannot directly use the textures and you must have users download this mod if you wish to convert all or some pieces to different bodies: please keep this in mind and check the permissions section (unless, of course, you got the interactive/extended licenses yourself as well).

  YES. I know the Animal Shields have already been ported. But I added quite a bit of alternate texture variants to them, so I thought to supply the base ones as well, since I had licensed them.

  Installation

  • []Add the mod via Vortex, install via MO2, or simply uncompress the archive in your Data folder.

    []Meshes and textures are in BSA archives. The ESP-FE and SkyPatcher ini are loose files.

  • The different shields are also craftable and temperable.
