More NPC Pocket Money 2
This is a complete rework of my old mod More NPC Pocket Money. They have similar goals: add extra money to friendly and neutral NPCs especially in towns and villages.
This requires SPID 7 or higher the new random amounts feature added!
What does it do?
Using the magic of SPID, this mod simply adds extra pocket money to friendly NPCs, especially those in towns and villages:
-
[]All vanilla towns (Whiterun, etc.)
[
]All vanilla villages (Riverwood, etc.)[]Fort Dawnguard and Castle Volkihar residents
[]Raven Rock/Skaal village
Mod-added NPCs, townsfolk and villagers can easily be made compatible by writing your own SPID file (instructions below)!
The amount given is randomized to seem a bit more natural and also varies depending on the type of NPC:
-
[]Beggars: 1-20 gold.
[
]Low wage folks like Hunters, Labourers, Heimskr, etc.: 20-100 gold.[]Most people, including guards and seemingly middle-class people: 50-400
[]Wealthy people like merchants and prominent families, jarls, etc.: 250-3000
I tried to keep the values pretty random so that you don't always predictably get the same amounts each time.
This does not affect bandits, warlocks, dragons or other creatures, draugr or other hostiles, so you wouldn't suddenly be swimming in septims after clearing a bandit camp. This also does not affect merchant chests, so Belethor's money when opening his barter menu is separate from the amount of money he has on his person.
Why use this?
This is especially useful for people who play with Your Market Stall or Your Market Stall Plus, or QuickTrade, and other mods that actually takes NPC money into account and subtracts the money from their inventory when they buy things from you. It's also useful for people who want a bigger reward for pickpocketing while in a town or something.
What's the difference between this and the older More NPC Pocket Money?
The older mod directly injects the new leveled lists into the vanilla leveled lists already on many NPC inventories. For the most part it worked, but there was no customizability, and it relied on NPCs having that vanilla leveled list on them already. For

[]Beggars: 1-20 gold.
More NPC Pocket Money 2 is a SPID-based mod that adds randomized extra gold to friendly and neutral NPCs in Skyrim, focusing on towns, villages, and specific factions. It requires SPID 7 or higher and is designed to work with economy mods like Your Market Stall. The mod is a rework of the original, offering more natural random amounts.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-tested with 101 endorsements and over 14k downloads, so it's got a solid user base.
- Randomized amounts feel more natural and prevent predictable loot, which is a nice touch for immersion.
- Works great with economy mods like Your Market Stall and QuickTrade, making bartering more meaningful.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires SPID 7 or higher, so if you're on an older setup, you'll need to update that first.
- Only affects friendly NPCs, so if you were hoping to loot bandits for extra cash, this won't help.
- Mod-added NPCs need custom SPID files, which might be a hassle if you have a lot of mods adding new townsfolk.
For Skyrim players who use economy mods like Your Market Stall or QuickTrade and want NPCs to have more realistic pocket money. Also great for roleplayers who want to feel like looting townsfolk is worth it. Skip if you're looking for combat or quest changes—this is purely a gold distribution tweak.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have SPID 7 or higher installed, or the random amounts won't work—check your mod manager for the version.
- If you use mods that add new NPCs, you can write your own SPID file to include them, but it's optional for vanilla towns.
- This mod doesn't touch merchant chests, so don't expect Belethor's barter gold to change—only his personal gold.
