📋 About This Mod

More Clutter in Skyrim

Some places in Skyrim feel a bit empty compared to others, this mod fixes that. Ever notice all those empty shelves? Unused space in forts? This mod puts something there! Everything has been placed with some logic and reason to make it blend in with vanilla Skyrim. Most stuff has been added to forts and bandit hideouts. This mod should blend in with vanilla perfectly as even I sometimes couldn't tell if it was placed by me or Bethesda. This mod only affects interior cells.

If you like what this mod does then you might also like my new mod Detailed Exteriors.

Compatibility

This mod should be compatible with all mods that don't edit the affected interiors too much. Mods that I had installed while testing it that add items to or edit interior cells:

Enhanced Lights and FX

BillyRo Ultimate Swords Anthology

Cloaks of Skyrim

Sounds of Skyrim Complete SE

Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch

Populated Dungeons Caves Ruins Legendary

Mods tested for compatibility

Dynamic Immersive Seriously Dark Dungeons - SSE

Is compatible but removes some, not all,  of the candles i have placed, all candles i have placed can be lit using the mod though.

Relighting Skyrim - SSE

Should be compatible as i didn't edit any of the existing lights, and the few new ones i placed are only candle lights.

More Clutter in Skyrim fills empty shelves, tables, and other bare spots in forts and dungeons with additional items and clutter. It's a simple visual enhancement for players who want more lived-in environments. With 688 endorsements and 21,212 downloads, it has a modest following, though it hasn't been updated since March 2018.

✨ Key Features

Adds clutter to empty shelves and tables in forts and dungeons.
Targets specific areas that feel too empty, enhancing the visual detail.
Category: Locations - Vanilla, meaning it works with the base game locations.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 688 endorsements and over 21k downloads.
  • Fills those awkward empty spots that break immersion.
  • Lightweight and focused—does one thing and does it well.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2018, so it may not be compatible with the latest Skyrim versions or other mods.
  • Only affects forts and dungeons—don't expect changes to cities or houses.
  • Potential conflicts with other location-overhaul mods that modify the same cells.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who notice empty shelves and tables in dungeons and want a more lived-in feel without major overhauls. If you're into immersion and don't mind an older mod, this is a nice touch. Skip if you want gameplay changes or if you use heavy location mods that might conflict.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's a simple mod, just drop the files into your Data folder or use a mod manager.
  • Check for compatibility with other mods that edit the same dungeons or forts, like lighting overhauls.
  • If you're on Skyrim Special Edition, make sure the mod is compatible or use a conversion guide.
