📋 About This Mod
This mod replaces the main menu interface with an more old school one.
MAIN MENU DESIGN REPLACER
AN OLD-SCHOOL MAIN MENU FOR SKYRIM SE & AE
The vanilla main menu hugs the bottom-right corner with a Bethesda logo on top. Main Menu Design Replacer gives it the old-school look: the menu sits in the centre of the screen on a translucent backing column with thin framed borders, with the classic The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim title above it. The load panel opens as a matching second column next to it, confirmations slide out on the other side.
Only the interface is changed — the background stays yours. Pair it with any main menu background you like (see Recommended below).
No .esp. No SKSE. One interface file, built on top of the current vanilla menu.
— What you get —
-
[]Truly centred — on any aspect ratio: 16:9, 21:9, 16:10, 5:4. No manual editing for ultrawide monitors.[/]
[]Nothing lost — built on the current vanilla menu, so Creations, the news panel and Bethesda.net login all work.[/]
[]No ads — the Anniversary Upgrade banner is never shown, and its X hotkey is disabled.[/]
[]Smooth 60 fps animations — eased panel slides, fades and list scrolling; the column and title fade in on startup; in the load panel the selection glides and the save screenshot fades in.[/]
[]Continue card — while Continue is highlighted, a small card shows your latest save: screenshot, character, race, level, save name, play time and date.[/]
[]Calm selection — entries glide between sizes instead of jumping, a soft underline follows the highlight, the selection arrows gently pulse.[/]
[]A living column — faint ash drifts up inside it, and now and then a soft light sweeps across the SKYRIM title.[/]
[]Keyboard friendly — Right opens the load panel and jumps into it, Left goes back; hotkeys C Continue, N New, L Load, Q Quit, Delete removes the highlighted save.[/]
[]Any language — works with every game language.[/]
