📋 About This Mod
Extended implementation of Mfg Fix with new functions and animated expression transitions.
Installation
Install like any other mod, preferably with a mod manager. Overwrite the original.
By default, animated expression transitions are disabled for the original MfgFix's functions to preserve backwards compatibility. If you'd like to smooth every expression, increase fDefaultSpeed to a value between 0 and 1 in mfgfix.ini.
Mods that use the new expression functions will be smoothened. Check out Conditional Expressions Extended if you're interested in seeing how these transitions look.
For Developers
NG adds several new functions intended to allow for smooth, animated expression transitions. If you've used the original mod's API, these should be familiar. Comments are included in MfgConsoleFuncExt.psc.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust with 8,100 endorsements and 2.1 million downloads.
- Actively updated (May 2026) so it's likely compatible with current Skyrim versions.
- Animated transitions are a big upgrade over the static expressions in the original.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires the original Mfg Fix as a base, so you need to install that first.
- Utility mods like this can be tricky to configure if you're not familiar with console commands or mod settings.
For Skyrim modders who want deeper control over NPC facial expressions for screenshots or storytelling. Also for mod authors who need the extended functions for their own mods. Skip if you're just looking for visual overhauls—this is a behind-the-scenes tool.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the original Mfg Fix installed first, as this mod extends it.
- Use a mod manager like MO2 or Vortex to keep track of overwrites and ensure proper load order.
- Test the new functions in the console with 'mfg' commands to see the animated transitions in action.
