Compatibility
This mod will only conflict with mods that also add gore/death effects and ones that alter the base creatures.
Maximum Carnage is 100% re-texture ready.
Performance **
Best I can tell, this mod is very performance friendly. It's scripted but the script only runs as needed, versus all the time, so, again, very performa
This is an add-on for Maximum Carnage that applies gore effects to creatures from Skyrim Immersive Creatures. It's a work-in-progress aiming to cover all SIC creatures, currently adding dismemberment and head-smash effects to bears, chaurus, draugr, falmer, giants, and more. Requires several mods including Maximum Carnage v9.0+ and Maximum Skeletons D-Won Edition.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 200 endorsements and over 11k downloads.
- Adds satisfying dismemberment to a wide range of creatures, making combat feel more visceral.
- ML Edition gives you control over who triggers gore, which is great for role-play or performance.
⚠️ Cons
- Work-in-progress, so not all SIC creatures are covered yet—expect gaps.
- Requires a hefty dependency list (SKSE, SkyUI, SPID, SIC, Maximum Carnage, Maximum Skeletons), so setup is involved.
- Potential compatibility risk with other mods that alter creature skeletons or gore systems.
For Skyrim players who already use Maximum Carnage and Skyrim Immersive Creatures and want more brutal dismemberment on those new creatures. If you're not into gore mods or don't want to juggle multiple dependencies, skip this one.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Install all required mods in the correct order: SKSE, SkyUI, SPID, SIC, Maximum Carnage, then Maximum Skeletons, then this add-on.
- Use a mod manager like MO2 to keep track of overwrites, especially for Maximum Skeletons and Maximum Carnage patches.
- If you want only the player to cause gore, grab the ML Edition and enable the MCM option.
