📋 About This Mod
It's interesting to think about exactly who is paying who to be in service to what. Are bandits bribing the guards in Whiterun, or is someone paying the bandits to maintain a presence there? Who is keeping the mages fed in a little-used cellar under the Palace of the Kings? Do the rulers in the Blue Palace know the secret of Darkminster? Is there a reason they haven't sealed off the door completely?
Lost Passages - The Hidden City adds 10 small to medium-sized dungeons to major Skyrim cities. As with Lost Passages - New Dungeons for Skyrim, each dungeon is Radiant-enabled, meaning they have a chance to be selected for Radiant quests like Bounty Quests, Ancient Technology, Preemptive Strike, Shalidor's Insights etc. Also works with mods that use components of the Radiant system like Missives, Extended Encounters, Sidequests of Skyrim, various loot mods and followers like Hoth who use Radiant to assign quests.
All dungeons have a boss with a boss chest and are clearable. Each dungeon is navmeshed, so bring your follower(s). The more complex dungeons are roombound and portaled, so there shouldn't be any performance or lighting issues.
The dungeons and their locations are listed below for anyone who doesn't want to wait for them to show up in a quest. There are four Bandit Lairs, three Warlock Lairs and three Vampire Lairs. All dungeons start at the standard minimum level of 6 and scale up with your level.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 722 endorsements and over 163k downloads
- Radiant-enabled means quests can send you there, keeping it relevant
- Plays nice with popular overhaul mods, so you don't have to pick and choose
⚠️ Cons
- Only 10 dungeons might leave you wanting more after you've seen them all
- No mention of custom bosses or unique loot, so it might feel like vanilla-plus
- Potential conflicts with mods that heavily alter city layouts, despite the compatibility claim
For Skyrim players who've explored every vanilla dungeon and want fresh content tucked into the cities they already know. Also great for completionists who love Radiant quests. Skip if you're looking for massive new questlines or gameplay overhauls—this is pure dungeon crawling.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's Radiant-enabled, you'll start finding these dungeons through normal quests—no need to hunt them down manually.
- If you use a mod manager, let it handle the install to avoid overwriting anything from your city overhauls.
- Check your load order to ensure this mod loads after major city mods for best compatibility.
