📋 About This Mod
A simple mod to correct a terrible terrible problem: the laziness of Skyrim's cats and the hordes of unchecked rodents. Also the lack of random cats, dogs, foxes, birds, and other creatures around the suburbs and streets of Skyrim. Who needs another normal wildlife patch, which you could be adding dogs and mice to the markets and alleyways?
Okay, that's at least two problems, and the mod just became less simple, but it's still pretty straightforward. This mod adds a way to combine all your urban creature mods into the same levelled lists for a more natural, less overwhelming, mixture of animals. It also includes default animals, so you don't have to use any specific creature mod.
The other thing it does is attempt to add more natural behaviours to those animals, make them interactive with each other, and have consistent sizes, factions, and stats.
This mod has no requirements. Everything listed in the requirements section is because it supports it with a patch, or because it's recommended to help the mod work better. The base mod itself only uses vanilla resources and can be used entirely on its own. It's obviously a lot better with some interesting new birds and cats running around, but they are absolutely not required.
Everything is as modular as possible, so you can patch other creature mods to have the consistent factions, aggression levels, and believable sizes. You can use this mod on its own as an easy all in one lightweight urban animal mod, with only vanilla resources. You can add new variants from other mods without touching the original creatures. Or you can use it purely for the levelled lists to disperse the creatures of your choice into the world with no other changes.
I've also added various standalone patches to disable the original world placements of specific creatures, as well as some misc patches that I generated for my own modlist.
What this mod does
1. Adds a lot of worldspace spawning points and levelled lists.
2. Adds custom behaviours and a prey-predator framework suitable for cities.
Worldspace placements:
Adds placed NPCs in every urban area - from Riverwood to Whiterun to Riften. The NPCs use levelled lists, so will be somewhat random.
These overlap with the spawn points used by creature mods that add hand placed NPCs (e.g. Mihail's Pigeons). Some of the included patches will disable the spawning points for the original mod, so you can still add
This mod adds urban wildlife to Skyrim's cities and towns, specifically training cats to hunt rats. It aims to populate settlements with more animals, addressing the lack of proper urban wildlife. With 129 endorsements and nearly 10,000 downloads, it's a niche but appreciated addition for players seeking more life in cities.

- Simple concept that adds life to towns without overhauling the game
⚠️ Cons
- Potential conflicts with other mods that alter city layouts or add animals
