English is not my native language, so I apologize if my mod description is unclear or difficult to understand.

This is my first minor overhaul mod for the Dragonrend shout, inspired by another mod titled Improved Dragonrend Shout. Unlike that mod, however, mine avoids forced animations via script and instead enhances the shout by modifying its idle animation.

In the vanilla game, Dragonrend often feels underwhelming and inconsistent. Despite successfully hitting a dragon, the effect may not trigger reliably—dragons might continue flying or even flee instead of landing. And when it does work, the dragon lands passively, lacking the dramatic impact the shout should convey.

This mod improves the usability and effectiveness of the Dragonrend shout, addressing these issues with a few targeted changes to make the shout feel more powerful and satisfying.

Enhanced Impact Animation

The vanilla Dragonrend shout only caused dragons to stagger mid-flight with a basic animation. This has been upgraded—dragons now react more dramatically by entering a crippled, flight-injured animation when struck, making the shout feel more powerful and impactful.

Improved Landing Mechanics

In vanilla, the Dragonrend effect timer begins immediately upon impact, even though dragons take time to land, often wasting part of the effect duration. This mod introduces two new landing behavior modes to address that issue:

Mode 1 – Fast Landing

Upon being struck by Dragonrend, the dragon immediately begins a rapid descent and lands swiftly.

Mode 2 – Slow and Fast Landing

Dragons with 69% to 100% health will descend gradually and land slowly. However, if a dragon’s health falls to 68% or lower when hit, it will immediately begin a fast descent and land swiftly.

How to Switch Between Modes:

1) Open the in-game console.

2) Type set ks_modmode to x (replace x with 1 or 2).

1 = Mode 1, 2 = Mode 2.

3) Note: No need to reinstall the mod to switch between modes, as changes will not take effect in your current game.
