📋 About This Mod
There are 8 different variants of this creature type: Bandits, Villagers and guards in male and female body types. They can be found alongside bandits and also in three villages scattered in the world, near Morthal, in Greenspring Hollow and Bleakwind Bluff in Whiterun. In each town, you'll find 3 summoning spells to conjure them on top of a table.
This mod is 90% reused, reskinned and deformed vanilla assets, using the rieklings as a base. the custom assets in this mod are the creature's skeleton, which is borrowed from the fantastic mod Playable Rieklings SSE , from Abbalovesyou, The armors come from Witcher Armour and Shields SSE (UPDATED), from the mod author herdustisverypretty. Female Hairstyles are from Modular SMP Hairstyles by Everglaid. For the villages I've used textures from Medieval Farmhouses from Cl3mus, meshes from Morrowind Nord Houses Pack (Remodeled) by Tesak1243 and assets from Bells of Skyrim from Vermunds
Additionaly, spacial thanks to keks307 for his "Shrimple" Shapes.
I'm allowed to use this assets as it's stated in the "permissions and credits" tab of each mod or I have explicit permission to do so.
It's inspired by the creature type from Magic the Gathering's Lorwyn set, and it's meant to accompany my previous mod: Forests of Lorwyn - High Fantasy Tree Overhaul. For more Lorwyn creatures check my other mod Flamekin Elementals
For those interested in the Lore:
Kithkin are humanoid or elf-like creatures they value "community, simplicity, and forthrightness and are quick, agile, and highly cooperative in battle. Generally, kithkin are fair-skinned and have notably exaggerated noses and ears.
Lorwyn kithkin society is centered around interrelated villages and towns called clachans. The head of a clachan is called a cenn, or mayor. Their society is based on a type of collective consciousness called the thoughtweft. The thoughtweft connects the kithkin by a kind of empathic web, allowing them to share their emotions and thoughts, making them very effective in battle cooperation. Thoughtweft naturally binds kithkin together into tightly knit communities; the better you understand the thoughts and feelings of your fellow townsfolk, the closer you feel to them. Kithkin generally welcome travelers of other races to their clachans, but it's said that if you pick a fight with one kithkin, you're choosing to fight them all.
Kithkin are peaceful farmers but are fierce warriors when provoked. Kithkin are reverent and quite superstitious. They venerate the mysterious greater elementals of Lorwyn, beings that embody the abstract concepts and dreams (and sometimes, nightmares) of the plane. They feel that the movements and actions of the greater elementals represent omens for their own lives, and watch them with respectful distance.

Adds 8 Kithkin creature variants (bandits, villagers, guards; male/female) to Skyrim, found near Morthal and in Whiterun villages. Includes summoning spells and reuses vanilla assets with custom skeleton from Playable Rieklings. Inspired by Magic: The Gathering's Lorwyn set, complements the author's Forests of Lorwyn mod.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community reception with 88 endorsements and over 8.5k downloads.
- Adds a unique creature type inspired by Magic: The Gathering, giving lore-friendly variety to bandit and village encounters.
- Reuses vanilla assets smartly, so performance impact is likely minimal and it blends with the game's aesthetic.
⚠️ Cons
- Relies on assets from multiple other mods, so you'll need to install those dependencies for everything to look right.
- The creature type is limited to 8 variants, which might feel repetitive if you encounter them often.
- Potential compatibility issues with mods that alter bandit spawns or village layouts, since it adds new NPCs to those locations.
For Skyrim players who want to add a whimsical, Tolkien-esque creature type to their game, especially fans of the author's Lorwyn mods. If you're into creature mods that expand enemy variety without overhauling combat, this is a nice addition. Skip if you prefer lore-strict content or don't want to track down multiple asset mods.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have all the required asset mods installed and load this mod after them in your load order to avoid missing meshes.
- If you use a mod manager, use the preview feature to see the Kithkin variants before installing to confirm they fit your game's aesthetic.
- Since this mod adds NPCs to specific locations, consider using a bashed patch or conflict resolution to avoid spawn overlaps with other mods.
