Kill Miraak Spell Fix - Fix for Unlootable/Unkillable Miraak

After defeating Miraak, sometimes Hermaeus Mora fails to kill him. Miraak still turns into a skeleton, but keeps floating in the air, and he doesn't actually die. This makes it impossible for the player to take any of his loot. My mod fixes this bug.

- The Dragonborn DLC (because, otherwise, Miraak doesn't exist).

Description

After some dialogue and animations, Hermaeus Mora is supposed to kill Miraak. He is scripted to do this by casting an invisible spell on Miraak that deals a lot of damage. This spell was not set up to ignore resistances or disallow spell absorption/reflection. Miraak may not have sufficiently strong (or any) Spell Absorption/Reflection effects or resistances in the vanilla game, but he might when certain other mods are installed.

I don't know which other mods (if any) cause this, and also do not know 100% for sure if this was even the cause of the bug in the first place. Anyway, my mod attempts to fix the bug by setting flags on this spell to ignore resistances and spell absorption/reflection. I have a saved game where, without the mod, I almost always get the bug, and with the mod, I haven't gotten the bug once in many attempts. So, I think it fixes the bug.

My plugin file is ESL-flagged.

Installation

- Same as any other standard mod, I recommend installing using a Mod Manager.

(In)compatibilities

No known incompatibilities. I have a load order with over a thousand mods myself (loosely based on Lexy's LotD guide), and there are no conflicts.
