📋 About This Mod
JK'S SKYRIM - REDUCED CUT
As far as city overhauls go, JK's Skyrim is among the most popular. While it looks nice, it adds a lot of clutter that can stress your system. I noticed I was getting around 40 FPS in Rorikstead with my RTX 3070 and decided to try "reducing" the assets added by JK's to improve performance while keeping the intended aesthetic.
Dozens of hours in Creation Kit and approximately ~two million game launches later, I came up with my personal cut of JK's Skyrim and experienced improved performance on my setup. My hope is that it enables players with less powerful systems to enjoy this overhaul with less compromise, though mileage may vary. Will this improve your performance? It should - it may save you only a few frames or make a huge difference. I make no promises this will solve your performance issues, or that you will agree with all of my choices of which assets to disable or reposition.
The original JK's Skyrim is required. Full credit goes to jkrojmal for the original mod and for all their contributions to the Skyrim community. Thank you for giving me permission to make this patch!

The mod simply disables statics to reduce draw calls and repositions a few of them to fill in gaps. It should be compatible with most things if you get the load order correct. Anything that references the statics I disabled should simply re-enable them or revert them to their original positions.
Load my plugin after JK's Skyrim SLAWF patch and Rob's Bugs Fixes.
RECOMMENDATIONS
• Landscape and Water Fixes + JK's Skyrim patch
• Rob's Bug Fixes - JK's Skyrim

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community trust with 423 endorsements and nearly 45k downloads
- Directly tackles the biggest complaint about JK's Skyrim: performance hit
- Simple concept that does exactly what it says—cuts statics for better FPS
⚠️ Cons
- Removing statics means some visual detail is lost—you'll notice missing objects in cities
- Only works with the AIO version of JK's Skyrim, so if you use individual mods, this won't help
- May conflict with other mods that alter the same statics or rely on them for placement
For Skyrim players who love JK's Skyrim's overhauled cities but struggle with FPS drops. If you're running a mid-range rig or want smoother gameplay without giving up the mod entirely, this is your patch. Skip if you're on a high-end PC with no performance issues or if you use JK's Skyrim modules separately.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have the AIO version of JK's Skyrim installed before adding this patch, and load it after the main mod.
- If you're using a mod manager, let it overwrite the original files when prompted to ensure the reduced statics take effect.
- Check your FPS in cities like Whiterun before and after to see the improvement—you'll likely notice a boost.
