📋 About This Mod

I made a mod. Again.

Sprint animations for sword(+shield), dagger, axe/mace (+shield)

Don’t hesitate to give feedback - be rude, insult me, idk, say whatever nasty things you want. Movement is still really hard for me, and I want to know what might look off or annoying to the player’s eye.

You might encounter a bug where the character moves their left hand oddly - this is a vanilla issue. It happens when you switch one-handed weapons in your right hand: at that moment, the game’s animation behavior starts playing two animations at once - sprinting with a weapon and sprinting without one.

This isn’t caused by my mod; you can see it happen with any animations from any author, even in a completely vanilla game with no mods at all. It’s just less noticeable with other animations.

From the player’s side, it can be temporarily fixed by equipping a shield and then unequipping it. It’s weird, but that’s how it is - nothing to do but live with it until some behavior modder eventually fixes it.

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

JellyFish one handed Sprint is an animation mod for Skyrim that replaces sprint animations for one-handed weapons, including sword, dagger, axe, and mace, with or without shields. It aims to improve visual feedback during sprinting and is compatible with other animation mods. The author invites feedback and notes a vanilla bug that may cause odd left-hand movement.

✨ Key Features

Replaces sprint animations for one-handed swords, daggers, axes, and maces.
Includes sprint animations for one-handed weapons with shields.
Addresses a vanilla bug where left-hand movement appears odd when switching weapons.
Compatible with other animation mods, as the author notes the bug is not caused by this mod.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-approved with 139 endorsements and over 9,300 downloads.
  • Adds much-needed variety to sprint animations for one-handed builds.
  • Author actively seeks feedback and is known for other animation mods.

⚠️ Cons

  • May conflict with other animation mods that alter sprint animations.
  • The vanilla left-hand bug can still appear, requiring a temporary fix.
  • Limited to one-handed weapons; no support for two-handed or magic sprint animations.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who want more dynamic sprint animations for their one-handed warrior or spellsword characters. If you're tired of the default sprint and want a subtle but noticeable improvement, this is for you. Skip if you use mods that overhaul all movement animations or if you rarely sprint with weapons drawn.
