Description

Item Stacking Tweaks is a lightweight, script-free SKSE plugin that splits item stacks into separate slots based on their stolen status, quest flags, favorited state, and equipped state, making it much easier to manage, drop, sell, and store items cleanly. Works across all menus (inventory, crafting, enchantment and more).

In vanilla Skyrim, items with different properties get merged into the same stack, causing a number of issues:

• []Quest flags - Picking up a quest-flagged item stacks it with any copies you already have, making the entire stack undroppable, unsellable, and unstorable. A well-known example is Amulets of Talos from the Return to Grace quest.[/]

  []Stolen status - Stolen and non-stolen items share the same stack, making it difficult to manage, store & drop them.[/]

  []Favorited/Equipped - No way to know which copies in a stack are currently favorited or equipped.[/]

The mod is fully configurable via . INI file.

Configuration

Edit ItemStackingTweaks.ini to customize the plugin behavior:

bUnstackStolen = true      ; Separate stolen items

bUnstackQuest = true       ; Separate quest-flagged items

bUnstackFavorites = true   ; Separate favorited items

bUnstackEquipped = true    ; Separate currently equipped items

All options are enabled by default. Set any to false to disable that specific unstacking.

FAQ

1. Why create this when you already made Unstack Quest Items and Unstack Stolen Items?

I wanted a single, unified plugin that handles all stacking in one place instead of having separate mods for each case. This plugin also adds support for favorited and equipped items, which the older mods don't cover. If you're already using both of those mods, you can replace them with this one.

2. What's the difference between how this and Unstack Quest Items / Unstack Stolen Items work?

This plugin was written from scratch with a completely different approach. It uses simpler, cleaner hooks, similar to what Unstack Stolen Items v2 introduced, which also fixes the CTDs and item transfer issues some users experienced with those plugins.
