iNeed - Food Water and Sleep

iNeed has been transferred to Step Modifications for Stewardship. Step's Stewardship Service allows authors to legally transfer ownership of their mods to Step Modifications (non-profit), which in turn immediately converts the mod to an open use license (CC BY-NC-SA). This would normally be followed by the Step Team bringing the mod up to working order, if required, because one of the goals of the Stewardship Service is to ensure mods are not retired with their authors. However, before iNeed was transferred into Step's care, permission were granted by isoku for another author to continue upon their work and re-release an updated version.

In the spirit of open modding, Step has decided to not complete any work on iNeed at this time. We would like to honor nodude2016's work by pointing any users wishing to experience iNeed, to their updated version of iNeed:

This version of iNeed will remain available as a resource under CC BY-NC-SA licensing (see permissions drop-down above). The Bug Reports have been purged and closed. The Posts will remain open for users to communicate, if necessary.

Optional: Wet and Cold

Snow melting rates are reduced in the cold. Travelling NPCs may be equipped with waterskins, which will allow purchasing of refills from them.

Overview

The goal of this mod is to provide an incentive to “live” in Skyrim without demanding a significant change in playstyle. Your needs will adjust to your timescale so by default you should only feel the need to eat and drink 2-3 times a day and sleep once per day provided that you are consuming full meals and getting a full night's sleep. Just use a little common sense, follow a schedule and you should hopefully find that the features here are intuitive and have been well integrated into the world.

This section only details the basic functions of the mod and is all you need to know to get started. More experienced players and those looking for more control or challenge should see the Advanced section afterwards.

Needs

Hunger: Prepared food tends to be more filling. Soup will lower thirst in addition to hunger. Eating raw meat will still lower hunger but may make you sick.

Thirst: Water and alcohol will quench thirst. Water can be carried in waterskins, which can be crafted at leather racks, purchased from innkeepers or general goods merchants and can sometimes be found on NPCs.
