📋 About This Mod
This is more or less exactly what it says on the tin. It seems odd to me, that after freeing their king from prison, the Forsworn are still hostile to the player character. It does the exact same thing as Simple Forsworn by Arduunos, just for Special Edition.
I might try to add more features at a later date, when I get more confident in my modding abilities, but for now, that's all it is. I have made the Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch a required master (and you really shouldn't be playing without it anyway!), but there are no other requirements. I hope you enjoy!
I haven't figured out how to add in a function to keep the player from receiving Forsworn bounties after siding with Madanach, though it is something I am working on. In the meantime, I would suggest using Bounty Hunter to accomplish the same thing, as well as some other useful effects.
Immersive Forsworn makes the Forsworn non-hostile to the player after freeing Madanach in Cidhna Mine, mirroring Simple Forsworn for Special Edition. It requires USSEP and currently lacks a fix for Forsworn bounties, but the author suggests Bounty Hunter as a workaround. A straightforward faction fix for Skyrim SE players.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community backing with 305 endorsements and over 7,000 downloads
- Fills a real lore gap—why are they still hostile after you free their king?
- Lightweight and focused, does exactly what it says without bloat
⚠️ Cons
- Doesn't stop Forsworn bounties after siding with Madanach—you'll still get wanted in the Reach
- No extra features beyond the hostility fix, so if you wanted more depth, this isn't it
- Requires USSEP, which some players avoid, and could conflict with other Forsworn overhaul mods
For Skyrim Special Edition players who want a lore-friendly fix so the Forsworn stop attacking after the Cidhna Mine quest. If you're on Oldrim or don't use USSEP, skip this—it's SE-only and needs that patch.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have USSEP installed before adding this mod, or the game won't load.
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, let it handle the load order—this mod should be placed after USSEP.
- To deal with the bounty issue, grab Bounty Hunter as the author suggests, or just avoid the Reach for a while.
