ICFur's Grass Patch

I made this grass patch for my game and decided to share it in case anyone else is interested in using it. The patch combines the grass from Cathedral Landscapes, Cathedral - 3D Pine Grass, and Veydosebrom Regions. It also includes a some texture replacements I made for some of Cathedral Landscape's tundra grass.

Installation

• []Download and install Cathedral Landscapes. If you only want the grass, choose the grass only option during installation. I also recommend getting the new update file that adds object bounds for DyDOLOD.

  []If you want to use complex grass with Cathedral Landscapes, download and install Cathedral Landscapes Complex Grass for ENB. Make sure it overwrites the textures from Cathedral Landscapes. If you don't use complex grass, skip this step.

  []Download and install Cathedral - 3D Pine Grass. This patch will work with either the regular or full 3D file.

  []If you use complex  grass, download and install the Cathedral - 3D Pine Grass file from ENB Complex Grass - Patch Compendium for Various Grass Mods. Note: If you also use Cathedral 3D Mountain Flowers, make sure the mountain flower meshes and textures overwrite the textures from this complex grass mod. Otherwise your purple mountain flowers might be missing stems. You can skip this step if  you don't use complex grass.

  []Download and install Veydosebrom Regions. If you are using complex grass, make sure to select that option when installing Veydosebrom Regions (it's included in the FOMOD).

  []Download and install this mod. Make sure it overwrites all of the mods you installed in previous steps.

  []If you don't want any ice grass in and around Morthal, download the option No Ice Grass in Morthal ESL flagged ESP and let it overwrite (merge with) the esp from the main file.

  Tweaking

  • []This mod includes an ini file for grass setting called "ICFur's Grass Patch.ini". Use that ini file to adjust the density of the grass. The mod ships with a iMinGrassSize=50, which seems to be a good balance.

    []If you want more dense grass, lower the iMinGrassSize in the ini file. A lower setting here is more demanding on your system. If your PC is already struggling, you will likely experience FPS drops if you lower the grass settings.

    []If you want less dense grass, increase the iMinGrassSize in the ini file.

    []I've included a few screenshots with iMinGrassSize settings of 40, 50, and 60 so you can get an idea of how the grass changes when adjusting this setting.
