📋 About This Mod
Details
Finally came around fixing this vanilla atrocity. This is for all you guys not using SkySa. I actually went into the behavior files andfixed ice skating at its root. It's not the same as Reduce Attack Skating Movement as that mod just reduces the movement speed which does little at fixing this issue (They are both compatible though). Its still a very little bit slidy on transition of walk to run, but there's nothing that can be done in vanilla to make it better than this, except replacing everything with non-vanilla animations which I don't like. This is as good as it gets for vanilla junkies. 1handed as well as 2handed are covered for both NPCs and player. Just try it out, you can ask me if you have questions. Have fun.
Bugs
Transition from walking to running is still sliding a tad bit.
But wasn't this fixed by some other mod already?
- no

[]Fully compatible with True Directional Movement - Modernized Third Person Gameplay
[
]Fully compatible with Animation Motion Revolution[]Just load after everything if you don't use nemesis, it's just a behavior file, it's compatible as long as another mod doesn't try to change the same
[]If using nemesis, run nemesis, doh!
[]New nemesis version is of course compatible with any other mod that uses nemesis (TK Dodge, Archery overhaul, The Ultimate Dodge Mod etc.)

This bug fix mod eliminates the vanilla Skyrim issue where attacking while moving slowly causes sliding, affecting both one-handed and two-handed weapons for NPCs and the player. It requires Nemesis for compatibility and has strong community support with over 5,000 endorsements.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust with 5,352 endorsements and 1.4 million downloads.
- Directly addresses a long-standing vanilla annoyance that many players have encountered.
- Covers both 1H and 2H weapons, and both NPCs and the player, so the fix is comprehensive.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires Nemesis, which adds an extra setup step for users who don't already have it.
- Last updated in November 2023, so it may not be tested with the latest Skyrim updates or DLC.
For Skyrim players who are tired of the sliding attack animation and want a more grounded combat feel. If you already use Nemesis for other animation mods, this is a no-brainer. Skip if you don't want to bother with Nemesis or if you prefer to keep vanilla animations.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you run Nemesis after installing this mod to generate the correct animation files.
- If you use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2, install this mod as a separate mod and enable it in your load order.
- Test the fix with a quick combat encounter to see the difference; you should notice no more sliding when attacking while moving slowly.
