📋 About This Mod
In a recent play session the "dog meat" mesh caught my eye for the wrong reason: being very low poly. So I decided to search out all the meat meshes with noticeably low polygon counts and give them a high poly makeover.
The list of meshes included in this mod are as follows:
-
[]Dog Meat
[
] Salmon Meat[]Goat Meat
[]Cooked Goat Meat
[] Boar Meat
[]Cooked Boar Meat
All meshes retain their vanilla texture paths and UV layouts, making them compatible with any vanilla based retexture.
Compatibility:
This mod replaces only the mesh files, no plugin/ESP included. No textures are included in the download, your own load order will determine the actual textures used.
Installation:
Use your preferred mod manager to install as per normal.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 300 endorsements and 48k downloads
- No plugin means zero load order conflicts
- Easy drop-in install, just overwrite meshes
⚠️ Cons
- Only covers meat items, not all food or ingredients
- Visual difference may be subtle on low-res textures
- Potential conflicts with other mesh replacers that touch the same items
For Skyrim players who notice the chunky, low-poly meat models and want a quick visual upgrade without touching gameplay. If you're a texture mod enthusiast or use other mesh replacers, this is a lightweight addition. Skip if you want comprehensive food overhauls or don't care about model detail.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to install and easily uninstall if needed.
- Place this mod after other mesh replacers in your load order to ensure it takes priority.
- Check the in-game meat items (e.g., raw beef, cooked meats) to see the difference immediately.
