A while ago I came across vrNduGrau’s Hangman's Alley and enjoyed the concept. It had a lot of potential but was limited in scope. So I asked them if I could

expand on it and received an awesome «Feel free to do whatever you want». So, if you like this mod, please head over to the original mod and give them a like and kudos and all your support. <3

Originally, I just wanted to distribute some more skeletons. But quickly I was also adding the missing collision, then soft swaying animations to the hanging corpses and to the lanterns, next I was adding fly buzzing sounds, enemy triggers and loot as well. So here we are.

What this mod does:

This mod adds gallows and crucified dead to the towns, cities and forts of Skyrim. Some of the dead are cursed, you will notice it by their glowing eyes at night.

Then they will also have some loot on them, but if you approach them, be warned that their haunting ghost will appear and seek revenge.

Since this mod changes almost everything about the original and adds so much more stuff to it, it has become a replacement, the original mod is not required. In fact it would conflict. However, one more reason to please also head over to the original mod and give them likes and kudos!

Recommendations:

I highly recommend using this mod together with Mihails’ Crows (either this or this). You can see them in the pictures, they are NOT included and will require an optional patch (see optional files section). And if you like jump scares, do consider using Skeletons of Daggerfall. It’s for LE, but being a simple sound replacer it works perfectly for SE and AE. People say it’s a bit lo-fi, but it’s definitely good enough to s*** your pants ;-)

Q&A:

Is it compatible with XYZ?

My mod touches the outside of cities, towns and forts. So it may conflict with other mods that do the same. It will usually not conflict with minor clutter overhauls and will never conflict with any mods which change the interiors. Have a look at the listing further below, these are the most prominent mods (and ones I recommend and use myself) which I explicitly verified and patched if needed.

The mod I am using is not listed … can you make a patch for XYZ?

I have spent way too much time as it is with the most prominent overhauls, and I will stop it right here. Any other patches people should make themselves, please.

What about Northern Roads? It is not listed, did you check that?
