📋 About This Mod
About
To my surprise there aren't any High Poly Head patches for the NPCs that inhabit the cool villages made by Schlitzohr. Considering I'm generating these for myself, I thought others might be interested in them as well. If there's any interest in the other villages, I'll add them too once I've made them.
The NPCs will use the skin texture you have installed. In my screenshots Bijin is used for the females and most males have Tempered Skins (I used Vitruvia in a couple of screenshots - I still haven't decided which mod I like better).
With KS Hairdos
This version of the mod doesn't require KS Hairdos SSE as I've added the default textures of the hairs that are being used. If you use a KS Hairdos texture replacer however, please load that after this mod or delete the Textures > KS Hairdo's folder from this mod. Otherwise your retextures will be overwritten.

This mod adds High Poly Head meshes and optionally KS Hairdos hairs to the NPCs from Granite Hill Village by Schlitzohr. It's a personal project shared for others who want enhanced visuals for those specific NPCs. With 75 endorsements and 6,656 downloads, it's a niche cosmetic enhancement for Skyrim players.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Decent community traction with 75 endorsements and over 6.6k downloads
- Fills a specific niche for players who want consistent high-poly visuals across modded NPCs
- Lightweight and focused—does exactly what it says without bloat
⚠️ Cons
- Requires the original Granite Hill Village mod and High Poly Head, adding dependency chain
- Only affects NPCs in one village, so impact is limited if you don't spend time there
- Last updated in 2021, so it may not be compatible with newer Skyrim versions or mod setups
For Skyrim players who use High Poly Head and want the Granite Hill Village NPCs to match the visual quality of other modded characters. If you're not already using High Poly Head or don't care about that specific village, this mod won't add much for you.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have High Poly Head and its requirements (like Expressive Facegen Morphs) installed before adding this mod.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to handle load order and avoid overwriting conflicts.
- If you want the KS Hairdos option, download the optional file and ensure KS Hairdos is installed, then place this mod after it in your load order.
