📋 About This Mod
Glasses Pack Vol. 1 is indeed a masterpiece. I was disappointed to find out that there was no SPID distribution for it. So here we are.
This is a SPID mod that distributes glasses to different NPCs in the vanilla game and Interesting NPCs mod. I've tried to pick NPCs who could potentially use glasses "immersively" - mages, scholars, apothecaries, and librarians. Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions for other NPCs who could benefit from this mod, and I'll add them.
Please note that there's a little clipping here and there. It's more noticeable on male NPCs, so if it's not to your liking, just use the female NPCs only version (F). Alternatively, you can use the ALT version of my other distribution - Gold and Silver Reading Glasses - SPID Distribution. It will take care of male, elder, and beast NPCs.
Requirements:
Glasses Pack Vol. 1
Spell Perk Item Distributor (SPID)
Caenarvon - original author of Glasses Pack Vol. 1
powerofthree - original author of SPID
Glasses Pack Vol. 1 - SPID Distribution is a small utility mod that automatically distributes glasses from the Glasses Pack Vol.1 mod to various NPCs in Skyrim. It requires the original Glasses Pack Vol.1 mod and uses SPID for distribution. With 299 endorsements and frequent updates, it's a niche but popular choice for players who want more visual variety on NPCs.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 299 endorsements and over 183k downloads, so it's clearly working for a lot of people.
- Simple SPID-based distribution means no manual NPC editing or compatibility headaches with other mods that use SPID.
- Keeps NPCs looking fresh without overhauling their outfits—just a subtle cosmetic touch.
⚠️ Cons
- Requires the original Glasses Pack Vol.1 mod, so you're adding two mods to your load order for this effect.
- SPID distribution can conflict with other mods that modify the same NPCs, so you might see missing glasses or NPCs not getting them if load order isn't right.
- Purely cosmetic—if you're looking for gameplay changes, this isn't it.
For Skyrim players who already use Glasses Pack Vol.1 and want to see those glasses on NPCs without manually placing them. It's a must-have for immersion-focused modders who enjoy subtle visual variety. Skip if you don't care about NPC accessories or don't want to manage extra dependencies.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have SPID (Spell Perk Item Distributor) installed and up to date, as this mod relies on it to work.
- Check your load order—place this mod after any mods that alter the same NPCs to ensure the glasses distribute correctly.
- If you're using a mod manager, use the preview feature to see which NPCs will get glasses before you commit.
