Garment of the Goliath SE - 3BA BHUNP - SMP

Plucked straight from the marbled halls of the cathedrals of Alinor, this light armor set is a bespoke outfit made for religious and ceremonial purposes.

This outfit is inspired by the goliath beetle, both in direct representation as in its expression. The pattern on the beetle's back is repeated on the cloak. Just as the copper-colored wings are revealed when the creature opens its Elytra when it flies off, so is the flame-painted copper armor revealed when the wearer is in motion, causing the cape to shift and move aside. Finally, to expand on both the themes of nature and elvish design, I saught to incorporate stylistic elements of art nouveau into the armor, while still keeping to a realistic and wearable shape. The cuirass and cuisse, for instance, have the same structure as historical 15th century armor.

The mod adds four parts of the outfit to the game for you to smith with the Glass Smithing perk or to find in two remote locations. The outfit has the stats of Glass armor.

The pieces added by this mod are:

-Goliathi Regalia (cuirass)

-Goliathi Metacarpals (gauntlets)

-Goliathi Splint Tabi (boots)

-Goliathi Visage (hood)

The cloak, bag, pouch, necklace and pendant parts all have enabled SMP physics. There is no breast/butt bounce included. The SMP design is integral to the set.

This mod comes with 4k textures by default. Normally I opt for a standard 2k texture set with an optional 4k download, but because of the bespoke nature of this armor I decided against it this time. The mesh is quite detailed and has a bunch of SMP physics. This outfit might not perform well on very low end or bogged down systems!

Installation note:

When installing, be sure to download a conversion for the appropriate body and build the meshes. The meshes the mod comes with are just bodyslide output files, at least for female characters, so any changes introduced by my updating of the conversions in the optional files will not carry forward. This means rebuilding meshes in bodyslide is a soft requirement!
