📋 About This Mod

Overview

This is a conversion of Mic's Fur Shaders for Xavbio Retextures Redux and its HDT-SMP counterpart for HIMBO. These aren't perfect compared to generating the furshells over HIMBO's native refits/HDT-SMP Vanilla Armors' HIMBO bodyslides and there's plenty of room for improvement on these projects.

Why use this over my HIMBO conversions for bosn's original Fur Shader Armors? In addition to the above two mods providing a cleaner combination of fur shells with xavbio's mods and enjoying HDT-SMP Vanilla Armors support:

  • []Reduced add-on interlocking: I have three separate patch hubs that all interact with my FSA conversions in a misguided attempt to keep patches quarantined from the FSA release as those patch hub mods all interact with other mods around Nexus. This ended up confusing the hell out of some users for install ordering; taking this into account, I've consolidated the sleeves/pants as toggleable zaps for applicable armors and organized the add-ons into a separate FOMOD page. Since FSXRR already requires xavbio's cubemaps, this also cuts out the need to install separate mesh patches.[/]

[](Hopefully) no crushed Hide/Studded/Scaled satchels + hips: Indiscriminate slider conformation with the Hide/Studded/Scaled armors will result in their left-waist satchels getting "crushed" with most HIMBO presets due to the satchel's close proximity to both the waist and left arm. While this does occur in a handful of modded armors, this is especially notable with these armors as this is present in HIMBO's native Studded/Scaled armor refit projects as well (HDT-SMP Vanilla Armors notably doesn't have this issue). I've attempted to work around this by separating out the arms from the HIMBO conversion and slider references, isolating the general satchel area via masking, then conforming to the now-limbless HIMBO reference.

[]The crushing phenomenon also occurs with the fur shells on the hips and on Skaal clothes hips-arms due to the closer proximity to the arms in the former, and the generally padded mesh in the latter. I've done my best to deal with crushing on these instances here as well.[/]

[]Wider modded vanilla armor support: FSA runs into the problem where because it's made specifically with vanilla textures in mind, the fur shells will never match with the vast majority of vanilla armor texture swaps that touch the armor's fur parts (e.g. AMB Content Addon, the Yngol set with xavbio's Artificer addon). With Mic's help in generating relevant fur shell variants for these mods (among others), I've been able to texture swap the armors' shells to have everything matched up; even with their HDT-SMP counterparts and/or any sleeves/pants.[/]

[*]Bonus zaps : I'm tentatively planning on adding extra part zaps on a couple of body armors (and their HDT
