📋 About This Mod
Fluffy Snow is a texture replacer for the landscape snow. My aim was to make the snow a little more "fluffy" than vanilla. This mod contains textures only and should be safe to add/remove mid game. The textures are 2048x2048, so shouldn't affect performance much.
Notes: 4K images include mods such as Dolomite Weathers, Enhanced Lighting and Effects, Re-Engaged ENB. 1080 resolution images use vanilla lighting and weather. No ENB used on 1080p images. It gives you an idea of what it could look like on your machine. Obviously your lighting and enb choices may produce different results.
Majestic Mountains users. I've updated T4GTR43UM3R's (with his permission) ProjectedDiffuse.dds file. This affects mountain snow as well as other snow textures like boards and house snow. It now looks closer to Fluffy Snow. Note that Majestic Mountains is required for this to work. Again this is optional and not required if you are not using

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust: 21,949 endorsements and 2.0 million downloads show it's a go-to for snow improvements.
- Lightweight and straightforward—just a texture replacer, so it won't bloat your load order or cause conflicts.
- Last updated in 2018, but still widely used, meaning it's stable and compatible with many setups.
⚠️ Cons
- Only affects snow textures; if you want more comprehensive visual overhauls, this won't cover other terrain.
- Last updated in 2018—may not be compatible with the latest game patches, though it's likely fine for most.
For players who want a subtle, fluffy snow look without overhauling the entire game's visuals. Perfect for those who prefer minimalistic texture tweaks. Skip if you're looking for major graphical changes or if you're on a newer game version where compatibility is uncertain.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using a mod manager, just download and activate—it's a simple texture replacer, so no special load order needed.
- For manual install, drop the textures folder into your game's Data directory, but make sure to back up the original files first.
- Check if your game version is still supported since the mod is from 2018; if you're on a newer patch, test it early to avoid issues.
