Flora Additions - Cypress

This mod hand places these new Bald Cypress trees and knees into the game.

It requires the "_ResourcePack.esl" file from the 1130 update!

With the recent Skyrim 1130 update, Bethesda provided us with some new assets in the "_ResourcePack.esl" file.

Some of those assets, were new Bald Cypress trees and Cypress knees which I've made use of and as a result, an updated game with the "_ResourcePack.esl" file active is a hard requirement. No, that will not change.

Bald Cypress trees naturally thrive in marshy conditions, which is why in real life we often see them right in the water. While more typically found in warmer regions, I wanted to include them anyway and so, Morthal was the most logical place. Cypress knees were also included. These look almost like old rotted out tree stumps but are actually extensions of their root system which stick up above the land. For this reason, most trees also have at least 1 Cypress knee nearby.

Many of the trees have some moss hanging from lower branches and the knees all have a critter landing marker so butterflies can use them to rest on.

The installation fomod will allow you to select from a few options:

• []Base Install (68 trees and 104 knees).

  []Scaling options for just the trees (default 1x scale, 1. 25 scale, or 1. 5x scale).

  []Custom textures (Replacer: lowers the colour saturation by 35% so they kinda blend in better with the Morthal colour palette)

  To reduce incompatibilities, I did not edit any navmesh. However, I did place _NavCut boxes around the trunks of the trees so AI should avoid walking into them.

  In both larger versions of the trees, I edited each tree and collision box individually. Occasionally shifting and rotating a bit to reduce/eliminate clipping wherever possible. However, it is possible I was unable to eliminate clipping completely. The trees get rather large after all and I did my best to fit them into the existing space.

  If you want 3D Lods or just greatly improved textures over the 512x512 Beth provided, I'd recommend getting Cypresses - Improved textures and 3D lods

  An optional file is provided for a basic patch I've made for Fabled Forests

  Note that completely removing clipping with Fabled Forests is just not something that is possible, though I did reduce it as much as reasonably possible"

  This mod is ESL flagged and was made with latest CK, which means your game has to be updated to the current version as it also relies on the Resource Pack provided by Bethesda. I believe it will also work if you've downgraded and use Backported Extended ESL Support
