📋 About This Mod
Requirement
Playable Flame Atronach SSE
Safe to install mid game, usual modmanager installation, place my mod after Playable Flame Atronach SSE.
There are 2 versions: one with a bra and one no bra. Just install only one.
You can disable/delete "PFM - F2M Anims.esp" and "PFA - Better Shaped 1 2 3 .esp"; they are not necessary. Just keep Playable Flame Atronach.esp.
Uninstalling
Safe to uninstall mid game
Compatibility
This mod is compatible with mods that only replace textures. However, if a mod replaces both the mesh and texture, it won't be compatible since those mods currently use the creature skeleton instead of the human skeleton used in this mod.
It would be amazing if a modder converted the mesh to a human form!
If my mods have made your experience a little more enjoyable, any donation through Ko-fi is sincerely appreciated. Thank you so much xD
FAQ
The flame atronach behaves like a human and no longer flies
I think it has become an NPC, so it no longer uses the default animations meant for creatures, making this a trade-off, unless a modder converts its animations to humanoid.
Currently, you can use OAR to assign a floating animation to the Flame Atronach. You can see how to do this in the mod description by Draspian here.
Its requirement mod is playable... do I have to play it?
You don't need to, and also can't, my mod only uses assets from the Playable mod. Its playable functionality has been locked by me due to issues arising when distributing to NPCs.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Unlocks a ton of new possibilities by making the Flame Atronach humanoid—OStim, MCO, SCAR all work now.
- Two versions (bra/no bra) let you pick your preferred look.
- Solid community backing with 210 endorsements and over 12k downloads.
⚠️ Cons
- The Flame Atronach no longer flies and uses human animations instead of creature ones—a real trade-off if you liked the floating.
- Only compatible with texture-only mods; any mesh replacer will conflict since they use the creature skeleton.
- Requires the Playable Flame Atronach SSE mod, so you're adding two mods to your load order.
For Skyrim players who want to turn the Flame Atronach into a humanoid follower or use it with human animation frameworks like OStim or MCO. If you prefer the classic floating creature, skip this—it changes the feel completely.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place this mod after Playable Flame Atronach SSE in your mod manager to ensure proper overwrite.
- You can disable or delete the optional ESPs (PFM - F2M Anims.esp and PFA - Better Shaped 1 2 3 .esp) to keep things clean—only Playable Flame Atronach.esp is needed.
- If you want the floating animation back, use OAR to assign a floating animation to the Flame Atronach as described in Draspian's mod guide.
