do not ask the XPMSSE folks for help. also read the install notes.
Based off of the now outdated Racial Body Morphs.

[]The main difference between this mod and RBM redux is the scaling
[
]while this mod is true to the classic scaling found in Morrowind, RBM redux has a more complicated scaling based off of combined ES lore.[]The scaling is also more subtle in this mod compared to RBM due to using Morrowind's scaling, which may lower instances of clipping
The other difference is that this mod is more routinely updated as FK actually knows what he's doing -
OnHolyServiceBoundThe differences compared to the now outdated legacy version of Racial Body Morphs are/were:
-
[]Rebuilt from scratch using XPMSSE v4. 80, which hopefully means that it just works™ with all the latest body & physics mods
[]Female skeletons will eventually be based off Vera's Female Skeleton
[]Comprehensive documentation for mod makers (see included .xlsx files)
[]it just works™ with VR mods like VRIK and HIGGS
[]Racial types share the same base skeleton, which maybe makes it more compatible out-of-the box with Nemesis
[]beast races were modified using an edited skeletonBeast.nif
[]non-beast races were modified using an edited skeleton.nif
[
]IMO, skeleton edits are more consistent-
[]skeletons are now symmetrical
[
]Altmer men are now taller than Altmer women[]removed hand edits
[]OOTB-compatible with Simple Dual Sheath
[]Racial heights are now based off of Morrowind's lore
[]Racial names have been changed for maximum I M M E R S I O N
Installation:
[]Install via MO2. I don't use Vortex or NMM, so I won't be able to help with those.
[]I would very-strongly recommend FHSFE and FPCHF, but I guess they're technically optional.
[]If you use high heels, try Heels Fix
[*]You should probably use Mu Joint Fix as well if you do any po

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Huge community trust with 2,634 endorsements and 1.4M downloads
- Simple concept that adds meaningful visual and gameplay variety
- Last updated in 2023, so it's relatively recent for modding standards
⚠️ Cons
- May conflict with other mods that alter skeletons or race heights
- Requires a new game or careful save handling to apply height changes properly
For roleplayers and character creators who want each race to feel physically distinct beyond just textures. Also for players who want a subtle gameplay tweak that makes height matter. Skip if you prefer uniform character proportions or use mods that overhaul skeletons.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check if your mod manager supports skeleton replacers to avoid overwriting issues.
- If you use other skeleton mods, load this one after them to ensure it takes effect.
- Start a new character to see the height differences clearly, as existing saves may not update properly.
