I'm very, very happy to bring you probably the most impactful animation mod for first person that you will ever download for this game.
Okay, I'm probably exaggerating, but only a little. This is truly a cool addition to first person play overall, and once you use it, I think it'll be hard for you to play without it. This mod adds inertia or "drag" to almost all first person movements with your hands or weapons, to add a sense of weight. By default skyrim does not include this at all, and only shifts the arms a bit when walking left or right.
That has been completely disabled (thanks to some behavior edits by Coach! Download this HERE) and replaced with a customizable system to add as much, or as little inertia as you want to your moment to moment movement in game. You can edit almost every value using the GUI (default F1 if you have SKSE Menu Framework installed). Included is a preset with all of the vanilla weapon types setup to work with the Sigma's Animations. But you should definitely customize the default preset to make your own.
IF YOU MAKE A PRESET FOR ALL THE WEAPON TYPES OR A SPECIFIC WEAPON THAT YOU REALLY LIKE FOR YOUR FAVORITE ANIMATION SET (OR EVEN VANILLA), I ENCOURAGE YOU TO SHARE IT! JUST PLACE IT IN THE SKSE/PLUGINS/FPINERTIA (OR FPINERTIA/WEAPONS FOR A SPECIFIC WEAPON) FOLDER AND UPLOAD!
In total, these are the additions:
Look/Camera-based inertia:

Movement-based inertia (replaces the vanilla system completely) for all movement directions:

Inertia going into and out of sprint:

Jumping and landing inertia (completely redone from the vanilla system):

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 895 endorsements and over 95k downloads
- Brings a modern shooter feel to Skyrim's first-person view
- Highly customizable to fit your playstyle
⚠️ Cons
- Requires SKSE, so you'll need to set that up first
- May conflict with other first-person animation or camera mods
- Inertia effects might not be everyone's cup of tea if you prefer vanilla feel
For Skyrim players who want a more dynamic and immersive first-person experience, especially those coming from modern shooters. If you're tired of the static viewmodel and want more life in your combat, this is for you. Skip if you prefer the vanilla feel or don't want to mess with SKSE.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure SKSE is installed and launched via the SKSE loader, not the vanilla launcher.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to handle installation and load order.
- Check the mod's MCM or config file to tweak inertia strength to your liking.
