But now, with Finally, A Visually Distinct Falmer Hardened Armor for The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Special Edition (FAVDFHAFTESVSSE), you can now enjoy a visual distinction between both armours by providing a unique appearance (ok it's a mashup/reskin, what do you want from me) for the Falmer Hardened Armor.

Though based primarily on the base-game Falmer Armor, it's intended to look like the halfway between Falmer Armor and Falmer Heavy Armor, incorporating the purple hues of the Heavy Armor and more coverage. This comes with the usual unisex, weight slider support, and beast race support.

[]This mashup uses reskinned vanilla-quality textures originally for the base game Falmer Armor, as well as requiring textures for the Falmer Heavy Armor from the Dawnguard expansion. All normal map textures are subject to any Falmer and Falmer Heavy Armor retextures. [/]

[]To expand from the previous point, the 'Vanilla Texture Paths' main file exists as an option if you want visual consistency. I will stress that if you use the vanilla textures, the differences in the fabric colours and the chitin colours will look very jarring, but may look acceptable depending on your installed textures.[/]
