Echoes of Oblivion

Have you recently ridden the wave of nostalgia from playing Oblivion Remastered? Or just long for some of the more enjoyable and/or silly things from The Elder Scrolls IV?

I present to you 'Echoes of Oblivion' - a mod to bring some of those very things into Skyrim.

  The Mod In Detail

  NPCs will engage in conversations when they get close to each other outdoors, in towns and cities. They will talk about mudcrabs, goblins, what books they've read, rumours from around Skyrim and news from other parts of Tamriel. They will also discuss the weather, which isn't technically a part of the Oblivion conversations but it's something I've wanted to add for a while, so merged it into this mod. The NPCs don't engage in conversations about their health as I covered this in Chatty NPCs and Followers

  All the conversations are random with varied greetings, comments, responses and goodbyes, so they will vary each time. Certain voice types will have some of the more grumpy comments. 23 vanilla voice types are covered, so not every NPC will join in but most will. Where possible I've kept the lines the same as Oblivion but obviously some needed to be adapted to fit the Skyrim timeline and lore.

  I've also added dozens of new lines for the rumours and news conversations. Some of the NPCs will make 'quest aware' comments, mainly repurposing the lines that the guards will say to you, for example when Grelod is killed.

  The conversations will also vary depending on the location and race of the NPCs. For instance Redguards might make comments about Hammerfell and Imperials about Cyrodiil. There are also rules where spouses (marked as such in the game, which not all married NPCs are) won't say hello and engage in conversations about random things, for added realism.
