ABOUT DYNAMIC DEPTH OF FIELD
Dynamic Depth-Of-Field differs from what you think of as the 'usual' in-game depth-of-field in that the effect is based on your distance to your subject.
Most other DOF mods are just blurring the deep-background. It can be loosely considered to be a fixed-focal-length and it's okay, but it's not for me.
I UNDERSTAND THE WORD DYNAMIC, BUT WHY USE IT HERE?
-
[]Relating to energy or to objects in motion. Compare static.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Make sure you have not switched DoF off in your ini file. If you don't see any effect, open you Skyrimprefs.ini and look for 'bDoDepthOfField'. Make sure it is set to 1. l
DYNAVISION SE adds a dynamic depth-of-field and auto-focus effect to Skyrim Special Edition, mimicking a camera's focus behavior. It includes a static mode for players who prefer a fixed focus. With over 2,400 endorsements, it's a popular visual enhancement for immersion.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 2,442 endorsements and 63,929 downloads.
- Adds a realistic camera-like focus that boosts immersion.
- Static mode gives you control if you don't want the dynamic effect.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2018, so it may not be fully compatible with the latest Skyrim SE patches.
- Depth-of-field effects can be performance-heavy on lower-end systems.
- May conflict with other visual mods that alter post-processing or ENB settings.
For Skyrim SE players who want a more cinematic, camera-like focus effect to enhance immersion. If you're into photography-style visuals or want a subtle auto-focus, this is for you. Skip if you prefer a sharp, always-in-focus look or if you're running a low-end rig.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're using an ENB, disable its depth-of-field to avoid double effects.
- Test the static mode if the dynamic focus feels too distracting during combat.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 for easy installation and removal.
