📋 About This Mod
This is a modder resource, this does not modify any prices on its own.
Using .json config files you can adjust buy / sell prices of any item (based on keywords), and restraint that to specific conditions.
Since 1. 0. 2 in Barter menu you'll be able to see which items are cheaper or more expensive than usual, they are highlighted with an indicator, this is compatible with all UI mods, and can be customized or completely turned off via the config json file.
An example config file is provided to showcase what the mod can do, which does the following:
-
[]Better priced potions & poisons when you yourself are an alchemist[/]
[]10% senior discount for purchases! (at least 1000 days have passed in game)[/]
[]Due to the civil war and shortage of supplies for soldiers, in Windhelm weapons and armor can be sold for more money and also cost more to buy.[/]
[]More favorable prices from all Orc tribes, after completing The Cursed Tribe quest.[/]
[]On Middas days you get better prices from vendors of the opposite sex.[/]
Compatibility
All mods are compatible, this does not modify any forms, or any files in vanilla.
Tested only with Skyrim 1. 6. 1170 but should be compatible with all versions.
Safe to install or uninstall at any time.

Dynamic Pricing Framework is a modder's resource that lets mod authors adjust item prices based on perks, locations, and completed quests. With 444 endorsements and 83,018 downloads, it's a popular tool for creating dynamic economies in modded playthroughs.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Solid community trust with 444 endorsements and 83k downloads – clearly a go-to for modders.
- Opens up tons of design space for quest rewards and location-based pricing.
- Lightweight framework that doesn't bloat your load order.
⚠️ Cons
- It's a modder's resource, so you won't see any gameplay changes unless you install mods that use it.
- Requires other mods to actually implement the pricing logic – on its own it does nothing.
- Potential compatibility issues if other mods alter the same item prices or use similar frameworks.
For mod authors and tinkerers who want to create dynamic economies in their load order. If you're a player looking for immediate gameplay changes, skip this – you need mods that depend on it.
💡 Beginner Tips
- If you're a mod author, check the mod's description on the Nexus for usage examples and API details.
- Pair this with mods that add quests or perks to see the pricing changes in action.
- Use a mod manager to keep track of dependencies when you add mods that rely on this framework.
