📋 About This Mod

This mod was created from photos I took of the alpine bell flower, Campanula. I deviated slightly from the vanilla design here. The vanilla model has the flowers stacked on top of each other, one within the other. The real flower has layers of flower clusters. During development, both options were put to a vote, and there was near unanimous consensus that the model based on the real flower was visually superior.

Regarding performance, the main model is about 2500 triangles, which is about 5x higher poly than the vanilla model. Regardless, this increase in triangle count is trivial and will not affect performance.

Last updated in 2022, it remains a stable choice for modded setups.

✨ Key Features

Replaces the vanilla Deathbell plant with a 3D low-poly model.
Low-poly design ensures minimal performance impact.
High community adoption with 7,848 endorsements and 2.7 million downloads.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Huge community trust – 7,848 endorsements and 2.7 million downloads show it's a go-to for many.
  • Low-poly means it's light on your GPU, perfect for heavy mod lists.
  • Simple replacer – no patches or compatibility headaches.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2022 – might not be tested with the latest Skyrim updates, though likely fine.
  • Only affects Deathbell – if you want all plants overhauled, this is just one piece.
  • Low-poly style might clash with high-res texture overhauls – check your visual consistency.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Skyrim players who want a subtle visual upgrade to a common alchemy ingredient without sacrificing performance. Great for modded playthroughs where every frame counts. Skip if you're looking for a full flora overhaul – this is a single-plant fix.

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Drop the files into your Data folder or use a mod manager – either works, but a manager makes uninstalling easier.
  • Load order doesn't matter much for a mesh replacer, but place it after any mod that changes Deathbell textures to ensure the 3D model takes priority.
  • If you use an ENB, check that the low-poly model doesn't look too flat – you might need to adjust your ambient lighting settings.
