We know Erandur as a humble soul, a man on a path of redemption, seeking forgiveness and refuge in the embrace of the Divine of Love and Compassion, the Mother-Goddess Mara. Beneath the weight of regret, shame, and guilt, he remains calm and resolute, determined to finish what he once ran from and to free the people of Dawnstar from the grasp of Vaermina, the Daedric Prince of Nightmares.

To face the Dreamweaver, we need a Dreamcleaver — one who cuts through illusion, shatters false hopes, and tears nightmares apart with clarity and purpose. Erandur is that person. With our help, he becomes the cleaver, the destroyer of dreams, the breaker of nightmares, banishing illusions and purifying the corrupted realm of sleep. Dreamcleaver means “One who severs the grip of twisted dreams.”

That’s where the concept of this mod began, my vision of Erandur as a character. From the frightened man who once fled Nightcaller Temple, he rises to become a hero in his own right to spread Mara's love... Even if he needs to break some bones for it.

I wanted to keep something from his past as a priest of Vaermina, not a tattoo, nor any inked mark, but something deeper. Instead, I gave him a custom scar etched with the symbol of the Dreamweaver herself. A mark, as if Vaermina is whispering that no matter what path he follows now, no matter how faithfully he serves Mara, all he touches will forever carry a trace of her corruption.
