Drakmeri Race - The Draconic Elves

Hello Everyone! This is my first mod that I have truly spent significant time and care developing. The Drakmeri are a race I have been shaping conceptually for a long time, and something I have always wanted to bring to life in Skyrim. When I say Alpha, I mean the mod is feature-complete and fully playable. Additional features will continue to be added and balance will continue to evolve.

A NEW LINEAGE

The Drakmeri are not based on any existing lore race. They are an original creation, designed to fit naturally within the world of Skyrim in a way that feels believable and immersive, an ancient bloodline that belongs in Tamriel rather than one imposed upon it.

THE DRAKMERI

Golden eyes in firelight. That is how the old stories begin, and how they usually end.

You were not born like the others. Fire does not bite at you the way it bites at lesser blood; it answers when you call it. Your Voice carries farther than it should, with a weight behind it that older things recognize. And when the light catches your eyes, they burn a molten gold no elf or man was ever meant to have. You have always known you were different. You simply did not know the name for it.

You are Drakmeri. An ancient elven line that, long before the world kept records, refused the slow fading of the divine and reached for the dragons instead. The blood they took was no ordinary dragon's. It was the blood of Zunkriid the Sire, one of the eldest of Akatosh's brood, who defied the tyrant Alduin and was hunted to death by his own kind. Dying, he gave what remained of himself to a handful of elves who would not kneel either. They did not worship that power from below. They took it into their blood, and they kept it by hunting the very dragons that ruled the world, drinking their power to keep the fire alive.

The Dragon God of Time is your only god, and the blood in your veins is His inheritance. It carried the Drakmeri through the breaking of the Dragon Cult, through centuries of hiding, through an age that tried to forget they were ever real. But when the dragons fell, the source went out of the world, and the blood thinned and slept, waiting. Now the dragons have returned to the skies of Skyrim, and what sleeps in you is beginning to wake. The world has forgotten what the Drakmeri are.

The Mark of the Blood

Not all Drakmeri carry the blood equally. Where it runs purest, the skin darkens, as though scorched from within by the f
