Based on the Lothric Knight Sword and Shield from Dark Souls 3
"... A long, long time ago, in a forgotten land beyond the seas, there was a king called Eerikki.
A man holder of many titles, but his most famous being..."Dragonblood"
Eerikki was known by this name because he had an strange affinity with dragons, he could understand and talk to them, but most importantly, use their power.
In the heat of battle, anyone on the battlefield could hear his thunderous voice, so powerful that they could feel like the skies were being ripped above them.
One day, just laying in his bed, the king was found dead under mysterious circumstances.
Fearing that the dragonblood would vanish from existence, they prepared and drained the very veins of the now dead king.
Each of the most trusted and mighty knights of the kingdom took a sip from the blood.
Days later, the knights started to develop at least a fraction of that same affinity the king once had.
Their height increased, they became stronger and relentless.
They used the new found power to tame the dragons, which became their weapons of mass destruction.
When called to battle, the Drake Knights, heralds of destruction, would fly across the battlefield scorching everything in their way.
But everything changed when the dragons started to rebel against their masters, but that is another story..."
