📋 About This Mod
Re-enables random dragon attacks from the WIChangeLocation09 "Dragon Attack" quest in the following locations:
-
[]Markarth
[
]Whiterun[]Windhelm
[]Riften
[]Solitude
[]Battle-Born Farm
[]Chillfurrow Farm
[]Left Hand Mine
[]Merryfair Farm
[]Salvius Farm
[]Snow-Shod Farm
[]Pelagia Farm
Why do they need to be re-enabled?
Because they were enabled in LE and the quest still exists, but in SE a script disables them at game start (to prevent urban depopulation, I guess.)
The installer allows choosing how or when the locations should be enabled.
-
[]By a MCM menu (SkyUI required, of course), depending on the player's level. Ten steps, from 10 to 100 -- the default is "never" and you must select one option or the mod does nothing. Of course, you may wait as long as you like till you've made up your mind, no hurry.
[
]After "Dragon Rising".[]After "A Blade in the Dark".
[]After the Civil War questline (in case you're afraid of possible attacks when fighting inside a city, although they should be paused by default.)
I won't include the possibility of disabling them again during the playthrough... you've made your bed, now lie in it :)
It could be done using the console, though.
Inspired by "Enable Dragon Attacks in Walled Cities".
This doesn't edit vanilla scripts and is compatible with everything.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 360 endorsements and over 16k downloads
- Fills a gap by restoring a feature Bethesda disabled
- ESL-flagged, so it won't eat your mod slots
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2020, so it might not be compatible with the latest Skyrim updates
- Could conflict with other mods that alter city interiors or dragon spawns
- Only affects cities and some locations, not a comprehensive dragon overhaul
For Skyrim players who miss the chaos of dragon attacks in cities and want a simple fix. If you're tired of safe havens and want more action, this is for you. Skip if you prefer peaceful cities or already use a mod that overhauls dragon encounters.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Place this mod in your load order after any mods that modify city layouts or dragon spawns to avoid conflicts.
- If you use a mod manager, let it handle the ESL flag automatically—no need to manually merge.
- Test in a city like Whiterun to see if dragons appear; if not, check your load order for conflicts.
