This is an unofficial formatting fix for Conquest of Skyrim (CoS) Helpful Information 2. 2. 1 by jayjay4funwithyou .

The original mod adds an extremely useful in-game reference book for Conquest of Skyrim, covering systems that can otherwise be difficult to figure out, including armies, commanders, resources, mines, and claimable locations.

Unfortunately, portions of the Claimable Locations section can render incorrectly in Skyrim's book interface. In particular, multiple pages of location names may overlap one another, making parts of the guide extremely difficult or impossible to read. Additional formatting issues can also cause stray characters to appear after location and Hold names.

This patch corrects those formatting problems while preserving the original guide content.

What This Fix Does

The formatting problems were traced to two issues in the book text:

• []Windows-style "smart" apostrophes used in several location names were replaced with standard apostrophes compatible with Skyrim's book renderer.[/]

  \nsequences in the book text were replaced with proper line breaks.[/]

These changes fix the overlapping pages and stray characters in the Claimable Locations section.

No guide information has intentionally been added, removed, or rewritten.

The corrected book has been tested in-game, including a complete read-through after the changes were made.

Installation

This mod is a replacement for the original

CoS Helpful Instructions.esp.

Install normally with your preferred mod manager.

Do not use the original ESP and this corrected ESP at the same time.

If you already have CoS Helpful Information installed, allow this version to replace its

CoS Helpful Instructions.esp.

The plugin remains an ESL-flagged ESP (ESP-FE/light plugin), just like the original, and therefore does not consume a standard ESP slot.

Requirements

Conquest of Skyrim is required for the information in the guide to be useful.

The original CoS Helpful Information 2. 2. 1 does not need to remain installed alongside this fix, since this download provides a corrected replacement for its ESP.

However, please visit the original mod page linked above. The guide itself and all of its informational content are the work of the original author.

Compatibility

This fix only changes formatting within the Helpful Information book.

It does not modify Conquest of Skyrim itself, its quests, armies, factions, economy, scripts, or gameplay systems.

Because it replaces the original CoS Helpful Information ESP, other mods specifically overriding the same book record could potentially overwrite these corrections depending on load order.
